An excellent meeting.

Attendance was very good,

I'll  hold my hands up and admit that I have not recently been to an AMI meeting.

Mainly due to it's recent financial influence of infiltration by the MHS, Unison and Vet contractors.

They are now  finally back on line, actually listening to its membership
US,
the inspectors.

Now that i have actually seen this for myself, in action,

I 100% recommend that we once again become a unified voice

and give our support and time to the AMI

Yes Millie

It was a very "positive " meeting.

I know, i have "slagged" of the AMI recently

Mainly due to the "Spellcon" factor.

But i have seen for myself now, first hand, that this is now in the past,

and the AMI have now gone back to its grass roots.

Which is VERY good news.

I am glad the meeting was positive, as many including myself feel like giving up, but thats what the powers that be want!

Lets hope some good can come out of this, and support each other.

Yes Millie, Roger was excellent.

He was actually disturbed by the FSA's future proposals on meat inspection.

Being an MEP and presently back in Europe

Hopefully he will pass on this new gained knowledge

to members on the commission

to which he personally informed us

"Do not" have a clue to what they are actually voting on no

I thought that the commission on future meat proposals, was made up of people
with a meat background.

That is NOT the case.

We have e-mailed UK MP's, to no avail.

The EU are presently making the laws as regards the UK.

The FSA are presently in the EU
trying to "Dilute" the meat regs
to "privatise" meat inspection no

We are e-mailing the wrong people  yawn

We need to personally E-mail the EU Commission.
with our concerns.

And not waste our time with the UK parliament
as it is now out of their hands

EU links + Email addies will be forth coming !!!!

very true uk meat inspector, the commission are called the watchdog they are the ones that send people out to investigate issues that have been brought to their attention ,one group in particular are Greenpeace who are always there and it is the commission responsibility and they rely on these people to inform them of illegal things going on and think that one of the said teams are infact FVO who are instructed by the commission toi investigate complaints .

the 27 new Commissioners are now being nominated, one from each member state. Their portfolios will be allocated to them by Barroso. Between 11 and 19 January, each will be subjected to a public live on-the-stand three-hour interrogation before a European Parliament committee. Then the full parliament will, or not, vote each of them into office until 2014
Because the Lisbon Treaty that we never voted for comes into effect to-day ,there has to be new commissioners appointed for each member state will give links when l find out who they are !
