money is all that counts now,the very thing that they promote!! consumer safety? is all lies,just look at rules and legislation they just change when they want,disease, conditions in livestock now mean it is an acceptable risk if only a few people get ill or even god forbid die,scandalous scenario but not one management big wig cares as long as the budget runs to order to much imput from people who no nothing of meat trade especially these forgein vets with to much to say for themselves and keeping there own kind in jobs.they have removed them as team leaders because management no they are out of there depth in amount of times we have upstaged them in our knowledge of our jobs and our decision making but still we are treated like scum compared to them with no imput in any goings on in inspection work they still prefer there imput than ours but mark my words there is a disaster out there regarding all this cutting back of our duties just waiting to happen.just hope all involved in this dreadful decision making regarding public health will be named and shamed.
