update on aussie reform

furious These top line bureaucrats are persisting with this self inspection. their calling it preparatory work, where the company educated trimmers who have been allowed to have a sub standard theory and practical background,  But worse the people who have implemented this have no respect for meat inspection.

Well were are we up to, I put a submission into a Senate committee inquiry. there are two headings, Rural and Regional affairs and Transport References Committee, these people are doing three. The one I made a submission for is Biosecurity and Quarantine arrnagements with five references points. when it becomes available to
the  public I will give you blokes the direct web adress, at the moment its there property until they release it. I could`nt get hold of these local polticians, not yet anyway but will keep on trying.

Some operators have shown no interest in being involved in employing their own inspectors while others have worked out that its going to be to costly. They need up to 4 to replace one of us on the line. those that still think they can do it have been bullied into it by AQIS. What there doing is shed by shed reviews on where they can cut inspection to a minium and still satisfy importing country requirements. At the same time we under go review as to our MIS (meat inspection stanadrds) standards. They time a lot of our movements and distance to and from the work stations to come up with a manning level which is set in stone thankfully.

Talk to you again soon, we will probably take take a few casualties but still have the final say.
